Emergency Management

The Borough of Ambler’s Emergency Management Department is responsible for the organization of personnel, resources, and facilities in times of crisis, including natural disasters such as flooding or snow emergencies and man-made disasters such as large-scale fire incidents or a building collapse.

At a local level, this is achieved by the implementation of the borough’s Emergency Management Plan, which outlines the duties and responsibilities of borough resources such as fire, police and public works, as well as private sector partners who can provide needed resources like heavy machinery or food for those affected.

During an incident, the Emergency Management team will work closely with Montgomery County, state and federal agencies to ensure a quick response, and to provide assistance for those affected. After the incident, Emergency Management will assist with the recovery effort to help ensure a quick resolution to the crisis.
