The Borough of Ambler’s Human Relations Commission receives, reviews, considers and files complaints within the PA Human Relations Commission’s jurisdiction. The HRC serves and operates under the terms, conditions and provisions of the PA HRC. Training and education are provided to members seated on the Commission.
Borough Council adopted the Ambler Borough Human Relations Ordinance No. 1098 on May 17, 2016, wherein an official policy of non-discrimination has been established involving all matters of employment, housing and commercial property, and public accommodation to ensure that all persons, regardless of actual or perceived race, color, age, religious creed, ancestry, sex, national origin, handicap, use of guide or support animals because of blindness, deafness or physical handicap of the user or the user is a handler or trainer of support or guide animals, or sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, enjoy the full benefits of citizenship and are afforded equal opportunities for employment, housing and public accommodation.
