Ambler Appoints New Borough Manager

Ambler Appoints New Borough Manager

AMBLER, PA — In preparation for the retirement of Borough Manager Mary Aversa after 23 years of service to Ambler, Borough Council enlisted The Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government at Lafayette College to assist with the recruitment of a new manager. After an extensive search and interview process, Ambler Borough Council is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Kyle Detweiler as our next Borough Manager.

Mr. Detweiler comes to Ambler from Telford Borough where he had been serving concurrently as both the Borough Manager and the Manager of the Telford Borough Municipal Authority. Prior to his time there, Kyle served as Finance Director for the Whitemarsh Township Municipal Authority. Mr. Detweiler received a BA from Muhlenberg College with a Dual-Major in Business Administration and Media & Communications, and an MBA from La Salle University with concentrations in Management and Finance. Kyle also recently spent several seasons as the head football coach at Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor. Mr. Detweiler’s start date in Ambler is January 13, 2025. We look forward to welcoming Kyle to Ambler and having everyone meet him very soon!
