You can pay your water bill with the following forms of payment in the Main Office Lobby:
- Cash
- Check
- Money Order
- Visa (convenience fee will apply)
- MasterCard (convenience fee will apply)
- Discover (convenience fee will apply)
- American Express (convenience fee will apply)
Credit Card Payments
The Borough of Ambler is accepting Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards to pay your water bill. Payments can be made in the office, online or by telephone. The payment processing company charges a convenience fee of 2.45% or $3.00 minimum (whichever is greater) to cardholders who use this service.
Electronic Check Payments
In addition to paying with a credit card, you can pay your water bill using our online service. Payments will be charged to your checking or savings account at your bank. To pay from your checking account you will need the 9-digit routing number and account number (see below example of a personal check). A per transaction convenience fee of $1.50 will be charged by the payment processing company.
IMPORTANT: When payment options appear, click on the “switch to pay with check” link and then continue entering your information.
When making your online payment be sure to enter 9 digit water account number from the upper left hand corner of the bill. If the account number is not available, be sure to enter the house number and street name for which the water bill is for. This will insure that payment is applied correctly.
NOTE: ALL SEWER PAYMENTS FOR WHITPAIN, WHITEMARSH, LOWER GWYNEDD & UPPER DUBLIN CANNOT BE MADE THRU THIS SITE. YOU MUST GO DIRECTLY TO THEIR WEBSITE TO MAKE PAYMENT.

The Water Department’s Customer Portal provides you with the opportunity to access your account information and activity. In addition, you will be able to pay your bills directly from the portal.
- Create your own portal account through self-registration.
- Sign up for eBills (optional)
- View or print your bills (current or previous)
- View your billing, payment and usuage history
- Pay your bills via Electronic payment
To set-up your account, have a recent Ambler Water Bill handy and visit https://ambler.authoritypay.com/
- Click on “Set Up Online Access” in the right column.
- Enter your Account Number which can be found under your name and address on the bill.
- Then enter the CID number which is located on the top left hand side of your bill.
- Enter a valid email address and password
- You will see a Registration window and will also receive an email confirming set up of your account. You must click on the link provided in this email to complete your enrollment.
- After confirming enrollment, click on the link to go to the Portal Log-on Page.
