PA Dept. of Environmental Protection has announced a “Drought Watch” for Montgomery County. This alerts the public to potential future drought related problems. Water Dept. will discontinue flushing fire hydrants during the drought watch and we ask our customers for voluntary water conservation measures. Reduce water consumption INSIDE by checking for leaks in toilets and hose connections, shortening showers and by not just letting the water run when hand washing dishes or brushing teeth. OUTSIDE, simply limit uses of water such as lawn watering or washing of cars, sidewalks & driveways. We will post drought updates on this website to keep you informed of emerging conditions.
