The Ambler Borough Police Department will be conducting a physical agility test and written exam on Saturday, November 2, 2024. The testing will occur at Wissahickon High School located at 521 Houston Road Ambler, PA 19002. Registration will begin at 7:30 am and the Physical Agility Test will start at 8:00 am followed by the written exam. Please dress in PT attire. This test is to establish a Civil Service list of applicants for the position of Probationary Police Officer.

Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen
• Minimum Age: 21 years
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be Act 120 Certified
• Hold valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
• No arrests of a third-degree misdemeanor or higher
• Able to physically perform the duties of a police officer
• Live within 25 miles or move within 25 miles within 1 year

Preliminary applications will be accepted until 4:00 PM on Tuesday October 29, 2024. You will not be permitted to take the exams until you complete the application and pay the $35 fee.  The applicants who pass both the physical agility and written tests will be required to complete a formal PDQ at a later date.
